Easter Carrot Cake

Today I also prepared a Carrot Cake pimped with bunnies of marzipan.
Yeah, I was busy baking everthing we need for tomorrow and the following days!
...
Or...I guess it will take some time until everything's fully gone.

I chose this recipe: http://leelabeanbakes.com/blog/cake/scrumptious-carrot-cake/
[there you'll find a link to a frosting-recipe, too]

But I wanted to add little bunnies on top of it.
So I used marzipan and food colouring to create them.
Pasta sticks are holding together the different pieces:

Now...it's already late.
Have a good night

Sweet Easter Lamb

I know, it's a bit late for a recipe that should be used until tomorrow. But if anybody's willing to start a midnight-baking-session or something like that, ... (:

Today I finished my little Easter lamb. So here we go!

-----------------------------------------
You need:
150g butter or margarine [about 5.3oz]
100g sugar [about 3.5oz]
3 eggs
150g all-purpose flour
75g ground almonds [about 2.7oz]
2 tsp. baking powder
75g egg liqueur

Before starting grease and flour your lamb-baking-pan [you can also use breadcrumb instead of flour].
Mix flour, baking powder and almonds.
Then preheat the oven: 356°F

Then beat butter and sugar until the mixture becomes fuffly.

Add one egg after another. Mix carefully and as soon as you're happy with it's creamy consistency, you add the liqueur.

In the end fold in the flour-mixture with a spatula or a wooden spoon.

Fill the batter into your baking-pan and put the lamb into the oven for about 30 minutes.

After taking it out wait until it's totally cooled down before removing it from the baking-pan carefully.
So finally it's time to decorate the little lamb the way you like. I always use confectioner's sugar, but just look at my result:

But when easter's over you can easily use any other baking-pan for a usual, fluffy cake.
Happy easter days

Easy-Peasy Bundt Cake

Hello there! Sorry, I'm a bit late. But here we go!

Last Friday I wanted to prepare something simple and artless. So I decided to try a plain Bundt Cake. Boring, I know! But anyway, ...it's not that bad! :D

Now I'll show you step by step how I prepared my easy, fluffy, luscious (...) Bundt Cake.

You need:
250g butter or margarine [about 8.8 oz]

Pinch of salt
4 medium-sized eggs
300g all-purpose flour [about 10.5 oz]
2 tsp. baking powder
About 3 tblsp. milk or creamy liquor (:

Super-duper-chocolatey Muffins

Just about an hour ago I tried to find the perfect Chocolate Muffin recipe. After hours of searching for it on the Internet, I finally came across this beautiful babies:
http://www.browneyedbaker.com/2010/01/14/chocolate-chocolate-chunk-muffins/

But as fate has ordained, I didn't have dark chocolate. So I used nougat instead and I guess it turned out to be quite acceptable.
I took care of not measuring the batter for too long, so my sweet little muffins didn't become angry. :]

Here's the result:

I got 14 out of it, but I guess, I should have made 12. Then the tops would be way nicer, I think...
But there will always be a next time !
I'm still not sure, if I now found my perfect recipe. Maybe I'll just continue trying out some... ^^

Howdy ! :]

Well, I thought it was time to start creating my own blog on baking, cooking and stuff like this. I'm not like...let's just say I'm an amateur. So don't expect too much. I'll try to share my newest yummy experiences with you every week and attempt not to fail that miserably, hehe.

There's not so much to say about myself, but let's see...
I'm Kaddy [...that's why my blog...and...yes...you see...], an ordinary, german pupil. So don't expect me to use perfectly-structured English all the time. And to make matters worse, I'm only 16. Lower your expectations! ^^'

That's it for the moment! I'll hurry up with preparing my first 'recipe-post'.
Bye bye!
